Why should companies focus on remote work?
Everything could be summed up to the fact that with remote work we get more efficient and productive employees, but in some cases these benefits are ignored because of the fear of what is unknown.
In case you are still not clear about what remote work is, you should know that it is a simple concept, and it has to do with employees not having to go to an office, or any other workplace, in order to perform their duties.
Ipsos-IDC has conducted a study in which they came to the conclusion that workers who, redundantly, work under this system (which is often also known as Home Office) manage to reduce their stress levels by up to 83%, which can already make their performance increase significantly.
In addition, another study has also found that productivity levels themselves tend to increase by 28%. Perhaps a couple of years ago the idea was inconceivable, but with the advent of technology and the degree of connectivity that we enjoy in our era makes it possible for any worker to access these benefits.
It could then be said that remote work is a new lifestyle, or that is what is being promoted to us to accept companies like Microsoft, which is making an effort to promote a campaign known as “Work where you want”.
Basically, this campaign is based on the fact that, no matter if it is one of the largest companies, or a small one that is just starting out, whether it is public or private, let its workers embrace remote work and test its benefits.
