On a trip to Cancun, a friend and I decided to visit the Holbox Island.

So many great pictures I saw in the past of friends visiting this place that made me desire to also do this trip.

And no wonder why it is a desired place to visit, since Holbox is another spot of paradise on Earth.

Since we have rented a car in Cancun, we just filled up the car tank and drove to Chiquilá.

The ride took around 2 hours.

The road in “mexican standards” can be considered in good quality, so there were no issues on the way to Chiquilá.

Once we arrived to Chiquilá, there were plenty of parking lots near the harbor.

Most of the parking lots offer the services to park the car for days if you are planning a long stay in Holbox island.

We walked less then 5 minutes to go to the ferries, and there were two companies.

As I recall, they sail to Holbox every 30 minutes.
